Special Tet market in Hanoi's Old Quarter

A market in Hang Luoc Street in Hanoi's Old Quarter is attracting large numbers of people looking for antiques and unique products at the start of the Tet holidays.


The market, which has taken over footpaths in the Old Quarter, offers trinkets and rare items, some worth hundreds of millions of VND.

Goat statues are popular as buyers look for something to symbolise the Year of the Goat to attract luck in the coming Lunar New Year. According to traders, the buying and selling of antiquities is expected to bring lucks in the new year
