Ao dai, vintage vehicles on display in Vietnam metro

Sai Gon xua va nay (Saigon then and now), an exhibition featuring the old days of Saigon, now Ho Chi Minh City, is on until May 10 at Union Square trade center in the city downtown.

A collection of a vintage motorbike collection as well as a collection of rare vintage cars, including the Rolls-Royce Year of the Dragon, which was one of the 33 cars of that version released worldwide, and a 1902 Citroen, the oldest version of the French automaker in Vietnam, are among the highlights of the exhibition.

On display are also Lotus Gallery's file photos capturing cultural and daily life of Saigon, once called Pearl of the Far East.

A unique collection,
Ao dai through different periods,
by notable designer Lien Huong, is a highlight of the exhibition.

A special catwalk fashion show featuring the traditional dress will be held on April 30 to mark the Reunification Day of Vietnam, with the participation of many beauty lasses like Miss Vietnam World 2010 Diem Huong, Miss Vietnam 2012 Thu Thao, and Truong Thi May, who represented Vietnam in Miss Universe 2013.

The Union Square is located at 171 Dong Khoi Street in District 1.
