CAN THO (VNS) — Can Tho City will host the Mekong Delta Green Tourism Week from April 26 to May 2 featuring several events, including a fair with more than 1,200 booths and festivals to introduce the tourism and cultural highlights of the city and the delta's 12 provinces.
At the same time Can Tho will also play host to a southern traditional cake festival that will showcase the region's cakes made from rice, glutinous rice, and other locally available ingredients.
The delta is tailor-made for tourism with its criss-crossing river and canal system, submerged forests, unending rice fields, and orchards. — VNS
