Hanoi falls quiet at start of New Year holiday

Hanoi's normally bustling and noisy streets fell quiet January 1 on the first day of the four-day calendar New Year holiday as locals and tourists rested following a late night of celebrations, with only a handful of small groups out to enjoy the relatively warm weather, clear skies and peaceful atmosphere.
