THAI NGUYEN (VNS) — The northern province of Thai Nguyen targets more than 2 million customers this year. Of the total, 50,000 are expected to be foreign visitors. This year, the province also set a goal to earn VND150 billion (US$7.1 million) from tourism and create jobs for about 2,000 labourers.
About 4,000 rooms, with 1,500 of them one- to three-star quality, will be available this year. In recent years, the local tourism sector developed with an average growth of 10-15 per cent. — VNS
