Private carrier VietJet Air plans to launch a new domestic route between Hanoi and the famous resort island of Phu Quoc next month.
With seven return flights a week, the 2.5-hour flight will depart daily from Hanoi at 1:10 p.m. and from Phu Quoc at 4:10 p.m.
Phu Quoc, dubbed “Pearl Island”, is a well-known tourism destination thanks to its secluded beaches, turquoise waters, and its lush, mountainous interior, which is protected as a national park.
The Hanoi-Phu Quoc route will kick off on May 28. Tickets for the new route are on sale online and at VietJet’s booking offices and sales agencies nationwide.
With an aim to meet surging travel demand this summer, the carrier has increased frequency on the busiest routes like HCMC – Hanoi, HCMC – Da Nang and Hanoi – Da Nang.
VietJet Air currently operates 24 domestic and international routes.
