KHANH HOA (VNS) — Approximately 60,000 holidaymakers from South Korea visited the central province of Khanh Hoa's Nha Trang city so far this year, double the 2013 number, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported.
The visitors typically stayed at three- to five-star hotels and resorts and used high-class services and products such as golf and mud baths, according to travel agencies.
From November, Cam Ranh International Airport had two direct flights from Seoul to Khanh Hoa per week, each bringing about 120-130 visitors. This is a good signal for the local tourism sector, especially as the number of Russian tourists shows signs of decline. — VNS
